This is a Zuni owl fetish carving, likely made from antler or a tagua nut (vegetable ivory). I believe mine to be antler as it has grain on both ends.
Zuni fetishes are small animal carvings made by the Zuni people, traditionally used for ceremonial purposes.
The owl is known as "the Night Grandfather" in Zuni culture and is seen as a protector of the home, possessing clairvoyance and wisdom.
The carving features inset eyes, of shell which represent "power spots" by Craig Haloo
